Thought-provoking art
On Thursday this week, 7T had the opportunity to see an exhibition of work by the artist Paul Hobbs at Pangbourne College.
Paul Hobbs is an artist who creates very thought-provoking paintings and sculptures. The themes he addresses cover all kinds of social and religious issues, and are relevant and challenging to every kind of audience. Hence it was very good that Paul was at the exhibition to talk to the boys about his work, to explain the ideas behind the pieces and describe the influences on his work.
The boys certainly found the work visually engaging and were interested in the ideas and thinking behind them.
My thanks to the boys and to Miss Tattevin for making this short trip so enjoyable and rewarding.
