U11s Rugby Season so far
The U11 A and B have had a cracking half term of rugby. In the early part of the season, the boys played in A and B Teams with 13 different boys representing the A team. Towards the end of this term, there were a few occasions where we mixed the teams into two equal squads to play matches against slightly weaker schools. This enabled the opposition to get something from the game but it also gave both the A and B squad players the valuable experience of playing in a slightly different environment and adapting to working with different players. Both myself and Mr Symonds have been impressed by how well the boys have worked together in whatever challenge they have been set.
The U11 C, D and E squads have all begun the rugby season in fine fashion and it is incredibly impressive how much depth of talent we have in this age group - a testament to the hard work of the boys in training and during their matches. As such, we have made it a priority not only to play competitive matches against other schools, but also to give the boys as fair an opportunity as possible to play. In this regard the boys have hugely impressed us with their ability to adapt to working with different teammates and showing off their talents wherever possible.
