Richard Peirce’s Lecture on “Effectiveness in Conservation”
Richard Peirce came to talk to us about the importance of conservation. He used the examples of elephants, in terms of the ivory trade, and sharks, which are being hunted for their fins. He showed us two informative videos to highlight his main point, which was that we are failing in terms of conservation and we need to do better. Overall, it was an evocative, interesting talk.
Richard Peirce has written some books including “Giant Steps”, “The Poacher’s Moon” and “The Great White Shark Enigma” which some of the boys bought. For more information please visit www.peirceshark.com
