You choose the book!
Jasper H in Year 8 did a sponsored read with a difference this summer, by reading the books suggested by the people who sponsored him. This has meant that he has got stuck into a number of interesting and unusual books that he otherwise might not have discovered.
So far he has read:
- The Divergent series: Divergent, Insurgent, Allegiant
- The Chrysalids
- Day of the Triffids
- The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
- Chains, Forge and Ashes, three books about slavery in the US
- The Colour of Magic
So far Jasper has raised over £350 for the charity BookTrust who work with children across the UK to give them access to books with the aim of inspiring them to learn to love reading. If you want to suggest a book for Jasper to read then you can visit his Just Giving page here
