Music and Poems for the residents of our local Care Home.
Year 3 went to Rush Court Care Home to perform some music and poems for the residents. Afterwards they all went round and spoke to the ladies and some even performed small magic tricks for them and told a few jokes.
Our performers did very well even though they admitted to being a bit nervous beforehand but were pleased after the event. We had a great Year 3 sandwich which started with a brilliant rendition of ‘Supercalafragalistic’ and finished with ‘The Frog Song’. The filling of our sandwich were 8 brilliantly brave piano players, a violin and guitar solo, 3 poems and 2 confident singers! We also sang Happy Birthday to a lady who was 102! The residents loved the boys’ performances and enjoyed their company.
