Creation of a Copse
At the end of last term Mr Squire and Mrs Thatcher helped the children in Pre-Prep to plant their very own copse of trees. Through an initiative from The Woodland Trust, the children were gifted thirty trees, to create a beautiful area on the grass above the building. It is hoped over the years that it will become a peaceful spot that’s an oasis for birds. The copse consists of silver birches, rowans and wild cherry trees.
The children all got involved in digging, hammering and planting and are now looking forward to watching the trees grow as they themselves grow and move through the school.
