Senior School Choices and Boarding options
Year 5 parents attended an information evening on Thursday about the process for choosing a senior school.
Parents were welcomed into the Boarding House by Mr and Mrs Noble, where they enjoyed drinks and had a tour by current Boarders. Parents commented on how enthusiastic the boys were and it was clear how much they value the facilities and activities on offer to them in the evenings.
Following the tours, parents gathered in the theatre to hear more about Year 5 and the next steps in their boys’ journeys. Mr Beardmore-Gray discussed the overall process and Mrs Squire provided some valuable information about Pre-Tests and the preparation that the school provides for the boys towards the end of Year 5 and into Year 6.
Alastair Land, Headmaster at Harrow, was the final speaker and spoke to parents about how important it is to research schools, in the same way you do extensive research ahead of any major financial investment! He talked about the need to visit schools and the importance of trusting your gut, particularly with regard to whether your son will be happy.
It was an enjoyable evening and we hope that parents found it interesting and useful.
