Year 5 travelled to Dinton Activity Centre near Reading on Thursday to take part in a number of team building and risk-taking activities in order to help build their confidence ready for the challenges ahead of them in Year 5. Canoeing and sailing tested their ability to work as part of a small team, whereas on dry land they took part in team challenges which stretched their communication skills in terms of listening and talking among peers.
The trip is the first part of a pastoral programme this year based around the skills of CARDS - Creativity, Awareness, Resilience, Decision-Making and Self-Organising.
