This is such a special time of the school year. The boys continue to work very hard in the classroom, and also benefit so much from the many additional events which take place as the end of term approaches. We are so glad to be running a ‘live’ Moulsford’s Got Talent this evening, after two years of a virtual show. The excitement and anticipation around the school is palpable for what I know will be a wonderful evening.
This afternoon I had the great pleasure of giving the Year 8 boys in 8M and 8HR (and Bertie and Raphael) their Common Entrance results. This was such a special occasion and I am delighted to report that the boys have all done extremely well, collectively achieving a fantastic set of grades. They will all join their senior schools in September in a position of strength, and will leave Moulsford on a high. Well done to Year 8! Please click this link for details of the senior schools that our Year 8 boys will graduate to, as well as the same information from previous years.
Very many congratulations also to those boys who achieved scholarships and awards to their senior schools this year:
- Wilf Q – DT Scholarship to The Oratory
- Leo R – Music Scholarship to Pangbourne
- James D – Academic Exhibition to Radley
- Leonardo M – Music Scholarship to Radley
- Freddie C – Sports Award to St Edward’s
Parents will know that we had our Independent Schools Inspectorate Inspection (ISI) in March, and achieved ‘Excellent’ in all categories. At roughly the same time, we were also inspected by the Good Schools Guide (GSG) who conducted a full review of Moulsford to confirm and update our entry in their guide. It was a busy couple of weeks! As with our ISI report, we were delighted with GSG’s findings, which we believe gives a very fair reflection of the wonderful opportunities offered by a Moulsford education. The fact that the review is independent (and not paid for in any way) adds considerable weight. In the Good Schools Guide’s own words: ‘What makes The Good Schools Guide unique? Schools cannot pay to be included and have no influence over what we write. That’s why parents value our expertise and trust us to tell the truth.’
Our reviewer requested contact details for a range of current parents, and I believe spoke to about six of them. Many thanks to those who provided such positive feedback and comments which have been incorporated into the review.
