Positive Opportunity for the Boys to Talk about Books
Halcyon skies have presided over the library this week. The hushed babble of excited boys has filled the air and the occasional moan of, “I haven’t got enough for an elephant pencil case!” has reached my ears. What could this mean?
Yes! The Book Fair has been with us.
As usual, it’s been a rip-roaring success with hordes of boys rifling through the books and discussing which ones they’ve read and which they would like to read. It’s been lovely to see them all so animated. Alongside the Book Fair we ran a Book Review Competition. We had millions of entries and it was phenomenally difficult to choose winners. In the end, though, we did choose and 5 boys received a free book from the Book Fair: Jasper D from Bobcats; Oscar C from Year 1; James T from Year 2; Harvey C from Years 3 to 5; and Max B from Years 6 to 8. We will have all of the reviews available to view in the Library.
Roll on the next Book Fair…
…November? Really? That soon?!
Mrs Rees, Librarian.
