Welcome to Moulsford Pre-Prep, the start of the journey in our school community. Our days are fuelled with fun and laughter!

The overriding aim of our Pre-Prep is to ensure that every child feels safe and secure in their learning environment. The confidence gained from this feeling of security empowers each pupil to get the very most out of their educational experience, allowing them to gain from effective working relationships with our talented staff. Our small class sizes naturally allow each child to work closely with teachers and assistants and to form solid friendships with peers.

Since September 2022, the Pre-Prep is housed in a newly constructed state-of-the-art building next to the main school site. Our stunning location and outdoor space provide a wonderful backdrop and the freedom to play and explore.

The most important aspect of a Moulsford education is the pastoral care, and the nurture we provide for all children, with kindness, compassion and community at the centre of all that we do. The very early stages of a child’s education are so formative and help shape their values and outlook on the world. We believe that children learn so much from each other in these early years, in addition to receiving an education designed to give them a really exciting window into the modern world. We are delighted that since September 2023, girls of Pre-Prep age now also have the opportunity to enjoy the Moulsford experience.

Children of such a young age don’t tend to define their learning or play by gender. By combining boys and girls we are helping them to develop their confidence to talk in front of their peers regardless of gender. Laying the foundations of learning and playing together should help children to be tolerant and respectful of each other while building experience in the skills of collaboration, cooperation and compromise.

The Moulsford Pre-Prep education is designed to give the children the best preparation for their move into Year 3. For our girls, Moulsford will be on hand to advise and guide parents on ‘onward’ schools and for the boys, dialogue is ongoing with the staff in the Prep School to ensure an easy transition.

Our Pre-Prep culture, values, academic curriculum and extensive activities programme have been designed to give the children a diverse, broad and well-rounded education that is directly relevant for modern life.
